These metro areas have large talent pools, in comparison to the current hiring demand being placed by employers in these areas. Recruiters that that are able to source talent from these areas (and possibly relocate candidates) may be able to fill their jobs faster In these locations, open positions are likely to be filled faster – which means job ads are typically listed for shorter periods of time, there is likely to be less competition among employers to source candidates, and the cost-per-hire is likely to be lower.

In addition, job ads stay online for an average of 30 days, or just over 4 weeks. You can also compare the Hiring Scale in Tallahassee to that of Boston, one of the metro areas where social media professionals are among the hardest to recruit. In Boston, there are 600 employers currently with job ads for social media talent, meaning there is more competition for Boston-based professionals than in other areas. In addition, Recruiters in the Boston metro area leave job ads online for an average of 42 days – that’s almost 2 weeks longer than in Tallahassee.
