Top 15 Job Certifications

Just how important or in demand are job certifications?

Wanted Analytics brings us the data:

About a month ago we featured Most Commonly Advertised Job Titles highlighting the 50 most common job titles that have been recruited for across the US. Using WANTED Analytics we also examined the most commonly advertised job certifications.

1. Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information Clearance (TS SCI)
2. Certified Registered Nurse (RN)
3. Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
4. Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
5. Occupational Therapy: Feeding, Eating, Swallowing
6. Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
7. Certified in Long Term Care (CLTC)
8. Basic Life Support (BLS)
9. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
10. DOT Medical Card
11. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE)
12. Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
13. Special Education (SPED)
14. Board Eligible (BE)
15. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Many of these required certifications are associated with the top 4 most commonly advertised job titles (Registered Nurses, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists and Drivers) or some of the most difficult-to-recruit fields (Engineering and Information Technology). If you are recruiting for these positions or fields you will most likely need to include some of these certifications in your job ads.
