UPMC St. Margaret is currently hiring a Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse to support the 5A Medical Surgical Unit. Graduate Nurses with no prior patient care experience are welcome to apply in addition to candidates with prior nursing experience. This position is eligible for a generous Sign-On Bonus!
The 5A Nursing Unit is a 34 bed unit that provides medical and surgical services to adult and geriatric patients age 18+ with a focus in neurology, oncology, and palliative care. The unit prides itself on their excellent teamwork and family-oriented culture where everyone feels like they belong when working on or visiting the unit. This team of compassionate nurses is committed to providing an outstanding patient experience through each interaction they have with their patients or support persons. Nurses on this unit are required to obtain the NIH Stroke Scale Certification and will have the opportunity to obtain a Gerontological Certification and/or a certification to administer Chemotherapy after completing one year of service on the unit.
