What You'll Do:

The Lead User Interface Engineer will be responsible for developing rich, interactive user experiences across and 's desktop and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the latest in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, and will be driven to help push web development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the software development efforts for the team, ensuring the delivery of efficient, robust, and maintainable software products.
  • Develop and implement effective software architectures, design patterns, and methodologies to ensure high functionality, performance, and security.
  • Design, develop, and maintain software components and applications using JavaScript, React, and Stencil, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Development with cross-browser/cross-device compatibility in a graded browser support environment.
  • Collaborate closely with other engineering, and product teams to ensure feedback is considered, continuously refining the software development process.
  • Implement and refine features, enhancements, and bug fixes, ensuring they meet user requirements and improve product quality.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues, ensuring a smooth user experience.
  • Engage in code review processes to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
  • Mentor and guide junior software engineering team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
  • Regular updates on software development progress, challenges, and milestones to ensure stakeholders are informed.
  • Certify the readiness of software deliverables, ensuring they are ready for production deployment.
  • Actively gather feedback on software products and processes, aiming to continually enhance user satisfaction and product quality.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and techniques, ensuring quality and best practices are at the forefront of all development activities.
  • Showcase a growth mindset by staying updated with emerging technologies, tools, and techniques in software development.
  • Implement strategies to enhance the software development process's efficiency, aiming for faster delivery times and standardized workflows.
  • Work in an Agile development cycle using advanced Scrum methodologies.


Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 6+ years' expertise writing semantic HTML5/HTML and CSS3/CSS.
  • 6+ years' expertise writing clean, unobtrusive core JavaScript and debugging tools.
  • 2+ years with one or more JavaScript SPA frameworks such as React or Angular.
  • Experience with React, Node.js and creating applications to run on AWS a plus.
  • Proficient in coding within front-end technology stacks and related frameworks, libraries and tools.
  • Proficient with JavaScript unit tests and/or other forms of automation testing.
  • Familiarity with programming paradigms such as object oriented/functional programming.
  • Ability to understand and work with product teams to engineer requirements.
  • Ability to be fully accountable for design and advocacy of UI solutions.
  • Working experience with user interface design patterns, visual design elements and a UI component library.
  • Working experience in web application development using responsive design.
  • Working experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.

USD 117 500.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $117,300.00 - $195,500.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:

The Company offers eligible employees the flexibility to take as much vacation with pay as they deem consistent with their duties, the company's needs, and its obligations; seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year; and up to 160 hours of paid wellness annually for their own wellness or that of family members. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
