Expected salary range of $99,900 to $111,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Plans, administers, provides, implements, and evaluates services to employees and contractors in company locations for clinical delivery, regulatory medical examinations and testing, drug and alcohol testing, immunizations, Fitness For Duty (FFD), pre-employment examinations, health counseling and teaching, disease prevention and wellness programs, OHS Services record documentation, activity and cost tracking reports and/or implements case management plans for workers compensation, urgent and emergency care services, short and long-term disability, and limited duty cases including rehabilitation and return to work plans.


Responsible for after hour coordination of emergency and urgent care services delivery. This position is critical to the success of the regulatory medical testing program and to disability management/absence control at the site. It is extremely fast paced and involves a heavy document/paperwork-processing load. Individual must be very organized and able to function in an autonomous manner.


Works under general supervision reporting to an OHS Manager. The role is on call 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Required for trainings, conferences, and to nuclear sites for outage support.

This position is critical to the success of the regulatory medical testing program and to disability management/absence control. It is extremely fast paced and involves a heavy document/paperwork-processing load.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Plans, schedules, and conduct medical examinations and testing to meet regulatory requirements set by The Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Occupational Health and Safety Administration, and The Department of Transportation.
  • Identifies and manages cases involving high frequency and high-risk injuries/illnesses and performs ongoing evaluation and treatment plans for all identified cases.
  • Coordinates with benefits, legal, employee relations, safety and industrial hygiene supervisors and other company areas for case management factors, concepts and concerns.
  • On call 24/7 to provide emergency treatment, intervention and use nursing assessment skills to determine employee's or contractor's ability to perform in the workplace.
  • Analyzes data, identifies trends and develops programs to implement preventative and corrective measures addressing wellness and medical/work safety issues.
  • Determines essential job functions and identifies and implements necessary limitations, accommodations and part-time work for high frequency/high risk cases in which such an intervention could reduce the length of disability.
  • Identifies cases requiring Physician level review for case management, coordinates the review process and implements recommendations.
  • Establishes and maintains a confidential record keeping system for all cases involved in the case management process to support the process and all decisions made as part of the process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Registered nurse with 6 years nursing experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the provision of case management for workers compensation, disability, limited duty, safety, industrial hygiene, healthcare plans, regulatory medical requirements and external healthcare resources, and regulation interpretation.
  • Physical assessment skills, knowledge and experience in evaluation of medical screening test data.
  • Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment.
  • Exhibits problem solving and negotiating skills.
  • Must also have the knowledge and skills to perform, and approve the medical exams required by various regulatory standards.
  • PC skills.
  • Must be very organized and able to function in an autonomous manner.
  • Must possess excellent Occupational Health Nursing skills.
  • Able to possess a RN license in all states.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science Degree.
  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse.
  • Site Clinical Experience in Nuclear Industry.
  • Certified Case Manager.
  • OSHA knowledge.
  • Certified in Spirometry and/or Hearing Conservation.
