Job Description:

Position Overview As a Business Analyst - IT within PNC's Business Information Management group, which is part of the Chief Information Security Office (CISO) , you will be instrumental in helping to maintain our reputation for technology excellence in both business applications and new innovations. As an integral part of this team, you will formulate and define systems requirements for moderately complex system enhancement requests. You may also be responsible for a component of a large complex project. You should be familiar with systems development methodologies and the systems development life cycle, particularly the Agile SDLC. Under the direction of more experienced business system analysts, responsibilities include analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, revising existing system requirements (as necessary) and performing system testing. You will interact with clients and service partners, both internal and external, to coordinate the development, analysis, testing, and implementation of requests for service and key business initiatives. You will identify and summarize system and data considerations as business problems and project requirements are refined. You will utilize planning and organizational skills to ensure the successful completion of projects to which they are assigned and apply functional expertise to facilitate the successful implementation and on-going support of new and existing systems. You will continue to develop business and technical knowledge to prepare for more complex project assignments. Your area is responsible for acting as the interface between technology infrastructure and PNC Bank Operations teams. Your primary area of support will be the Enterprise Fraud Detection Team. The mission of the detection team is to identify fraudulent retail transaction activity and prevent the bank and its customers from incurring fraud losses. In this role, you will remain focused on implementing solutions that align with the organization's business objectives, and which produce value-added results. This will include assisting in defining system scope and objectives; researching and fact-finding; analyzing business and user requirements; and managing requirements throughout each of your projects by conducting thorough testing of related applications. In addition, you will apply your knowledge of business systems and industry requirements to provide a positive impact on and help drive value for PNC's Lines of Business, and you may also have the opportunity to work on larger projects under the direction of other Business Analysts, and your manager. This position requires a strong degree analytical and technical ability. You will be required to work closely with several Fraud Detection applications. You will need to become familiar with our transaction posting systems which run on the Mainframe. #CSO Job Profile * Analyzes information technology (IT) requirements in business processes, through requirements elicitation, solutions identification, risk analysis and collaboration across (IT) teams. * Develops documents for IT applications, system specifications and test plans, according to existing standards and methodologies. * Elicits the requirements needed to carry out business processes including interviews, intelligence analysis and survey assessments. * Translates business needs, processes and procedures into a workable system, and articulates on specific software requirements by communicating about these requirements with technology experts and business stakeholders. * Works closely with business architects and other technology staff to deliver project results while implementing risk analysis and meeting required deliverables.
